Workshop Descriptions   Choose from one of the following three tracts of training.  Each tract runs from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is worth six (6) clock hours of required state continuing education for early childhood professionals. 

   Tract 1 - Professionalism   Need Help with Difficult Parents?  Crystal Clear Communication, Part I Learn to mean what you say and say what you mean.. in both the spoken and unspoken communications you send, with Crystal Clear Communication, Part One.  This seminar is designed to reduce conflict and help you get the results you want.  Perfect for building staff to staff or staff to parent communication and relationship.   

Crystal Clear Communication, Part II In this workshop, participants will learn how to make sure the message they want  to give is received in the way they want it received creating more meaningful relationships and minimizing the stress caused by mis-understandings.

  Character Education for Preschoolers From honesty to kindness- research shows the importance of social development in building values during the preschool years.  Learn what's appropriate (and what's not!)  and go back to the classroom with ideas to add to your lesson plans.

Tract 2 - Guidance   Winning the Behavior Battle, Part I Are you looking for tested and true tips for calming chaos and putting order in your classroom?  This four hour workshop helps you learn to put a stop to fights and arguments by reviewing the principles of positive rules and logical consequences.  

Winning the Behavior Battle, Part II (Continued from above) . . . creating more meaningful relationships and minimizing the stress caused by mis-understandings. Perfect for building parent communication skills or improving staff relations  

Rompin' Stompin' and Having Fun: Games for Building Self-Esteem Early Childhood teachers play an important role in the development of a healthy self-concept in children.  This class highlights encouraging and nurturing activities that teachers can take back to the classroom.        Tract 3 - Management  

Customer Service for the Center Administrator Want to increase your business and build customer loyalty?  Customer service is the place to start.  This workshop gives practical tips for good service for child care administrators and provides strategies for training staff in the same basic client services.   Successfully Marketing Your Childcare Program   Marketing often means the difference between a positive and negative bottom line on the budget.  Learn marketing tips to help keep your center full as you share ideas and network with other center managers (especially during these tough economic times!)

Note: All returned payments are subject to a $28.00 service fee, and will be reprocessed electronically with service fee included.   Refund/Cancellation Policy and Photo Release:  All refunds will be in the form of training coupons.  No monetary refunds. Cancellations must be in writing and faxed 48 hours prior to seminar.  Teachers who miss training due to a documentable emergency may submit a coupon request the following work day after missed training, and call that day for a confirmation number.  Approved requests will be issued a confirmation number that matches the coupon.  In the event Early Connections cancels a training event, centers will receive double training coupons.  Please note that photos may be taken and used for promotional materials at this training.  If you do not want your photo reproduced, inform your instructor in writing at the event.   Childcare policy:  To maintain a high quality training event, please make child care arrangements in advance.  Children are not allowed in training sessions!
