FANHS - Old Photo Collection for local book

FANHS San Diego has been selected to work on a book project for Arcadia Publishing. We need pictures of Filipino Americans in San Diego . The majority of the pictures need to come from before the 1970’s. However, additional pictures from the 1970’s to the present will also be included.

Filipino Americans in...(pre-1970)

Business (business owners and photos of their business/building name) Navy or any of the armed forces Medicine (doctors, nurses, researchers, etc.) Arts (actors, musicians, bands, artists of all media, composers) Broadcasting and Journalism (radio, TV, newspaper, magazines) Religion (priests, nuns) Political offices Community Organizations Activist groups Inventors mixed marriages mixed ethnicities various origins (transgender, GLBT, etc).

Also, first Filipino American men and women who did something different, special or outstanding.

Please help FANHS SD by selecting pictures from your albums, contacting your family, friends and loved ones who have been a part of the Filipino American community of San Diego . We will be hosting Community Days to collect pictures in December, January, & February. More information on the January & February dates will follow.
